Myhdillian

It is night in the city, and only shadows drift through the streets. 
Far out of the centre, you're staying in an old inn. Holed up in one of the cheapest cracked rooms, you're working on one of your latest designs, attempting to piece together all your gathered slithers of knowledge.


Two weeks into your stay you've learnt the sounds of the dock, so when someone creeps toward your door... you're ready.


It was a crossbow gifted to you by a pirate captain, originating from the distant west. It makes short work of the would be assassin, but there are more voices downstairs, and after he hits the floor they pause. Then there are more footsteps starting up the stairs. What now? Can you leave everything you've been working on? As you decide what to do you notice a cloth parcel left beside your door, apparently untouched by the assassin. The material has a pattern marking it as a desert clan cloth.  
You've enough time to escape and take two things with you:
Do search the assassin and take the design you were working on?
Or do you search the assassin and take the unopened package?

Then you must decide whether to escape through the window, disappear in the next room or through the hatch in the ceiling...
